Redesigned Entry Guide Edge Trimmer Introduced

Addison Machine recently introduced the first in a line of bi-directional mill components. The redesigned entry guide edge trimmer can be installed or adjusted from either hand of operation. Prior to this innovation, most components of this unit were designed and assembled to match the mill flow. The mill directional difference requires mill manufacturers to design, manufacturer, and stock numerous items that are mill flow specific. This innovative improvement eliminates the need to stock these additional components and reduces the costs associated with manufacturing and inventorying the direction specific spare parts.

Existing edge trimmers can be retrofitted with these new features.

Rafted Sizing/Powered Squaring Mill Simplifies Roll Change-over and Set‑up

Addison Machine introduced the improved PSU-8000 rafted sizing/powered squaring mill. The heavy-duty mill provides two features that simplify change-over and set-up and provide greater operator safety. The outboard roll stand base has a built-in air bearing making it possible for one person to easily remove the stand during roll change-over. Additionally, the single point adjusters on each roll simultaneously position both front and rear side rolls and individually position top and bottom driven rolls. All roll adjustments are made from a safe, convenient access point on the front of the stand with a digital position indicator providing precise roll position feedback.

This sizing/powered squaring section is suitable for round tube diameters of 3 inches to 7.625 inches, square tube up to 6 by 6 inches, and rectangular tube up to 2 by 10 inches.

Conversational Programming Eliminates Multiple Mill Set-ups, Reduces Downtime

Addison Machine Engineering manufactures the AM-040 micro rollform mill - a servo-driven, feed-stop-press mill utilizing conversational programming. The mill boosts productivity by manufacturing unlimited combinations of part lengths and configurations with one easy set-up, eliminating downtime from multiple set-ups.

In addition, the AM-040 features a self-contained stock feed system. This all-in-one design is compact and an economical alternative to purchasing separate feed rollers and presses. Further, the mill's modular design allows for change-over to different tooling for maximum flexibility.

The AM-040 accommodates up to 18-gauge material and is custom engineered to meet customer requirements for through-put.
